Autumn colours

These are some experiments with line and colour. I got inspired by some free painting at a kids event and I couldn’t resist getting involved. It was great to make a mess and experiment; it was also inspiring and fun to be around such enthusiastic young little artists! The painting made at that event is at the bottom of this post. It’s a mess, but something about it was refreshing.

Passing the Great Exhibtion

The Great Exhibition

Can you spot the art references? There’s probably some in there that even I don’t know! I think the character on the cloud could be coming off the cloud soon. The fuzzy Hikaru character seems to be a kids art guide this time around. I’m happy that my sculpture designs finally made it into an art show. I think this is just the right place for them!

‘Soup’

I have some new images on my art blog chrisfraserart.com, here are a few of the black and white ones. Some are ink drawings with colour others are pure line studies.

The images below are playing with the notion of life being like a soup from the beginning of life to now, on a microcosmic and macrocosmic level.

Life often feels like a soup. A really thick soup with far too many ingredients that sometimes tastes good and sometimes tastes awful.
